Digesting failure again and again for a topper in Academics doesn’t get along so easily …Isn’t it??
Whether Madhyamik or Higher Secondary, I had developed the habit of staying in Lime Light always. Well the credit goes to my dad as well …who was pretty serious about my Ranking. Wait!! It doesn’t end here…I was one of the merit holders in St Xaviers College, where students dream of getting enrolled.
Australian army has a peculiar Rule; They believe that those who has failed at anytime in life has more power than those who has only seen success.My moment of transition was when I flunked in CA final.Being a consistent topper,it was heartbreaking and unsinkable to fail.But as they say,The show must go on,I kept walking towards clearing the Exam.
But as they say, life is not a bed of roses; things were not the same when I completed my CA and started hunting for a job following the lineage blindly. After few months of struggling and doing accounting for small firms, I finally landed in Capgemini, one of the biggest MNCs of the accounting family who serves international MNCs like Syngenta, Unilever. A couple of months of Auditing for one of the most renowned client in SA, also couldn’t satisfy my obsession for doing something that no 1 in my family has ever done. When I was at the peak of my career, I decided to take a break moved back to my base in Kolkata.
To start something on my own and interesting as well it was more like mapping a route without knowing about its destination. With limited funds in hand and strong will power I started to work as a Consultant focussing on HR domain, since the same gap I could notice during my struggling days(when I didn’t land a job).At the initial client meetings, it was really tough to convince the clients as I had a handful names to showcase. But slowly and steadily things grew and from then I have never looked back. 5 years later i.e. today we have served more than 500 clients across the globe and aiming in getting ourselves listed in the Top 10 HR Consultancies of India.
